The Meritage Group L. P. is the name of a new company that's been around for a long time. If you're familiar with Bar Development Company, you're already familiar with The Meritage Group. Jim Rumbaugh and Ben Sampson have built over fifty communities throughout the greater Pittsburgh area since 1976, including Twelve Oaks and Lyons Run Estates in Murrysville, Avonlea Estates, Fox Meadow Estates and Pine Ridge Manor in Pine Township, Willamar Estates in Peters Township, Sturbridge Village in Franklin Park, and Cherry Hill at Nevillewood in Collier Township. We have been recognized with design awards for our carriage homes and single-family homes. We were named Builder of the Year for 2003 by the Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh and by the Pennsylvania Builders Association. We were also named Builder of the Year in 1997. The same experienced management and commitment to excellence developed by Bar Development Company continues on in The Meritage Group.

We are working with Ryan Homes to bring you Haymaker Point in Monroeville, The Highlands in Plum Borough, and Kerber Farm Estates in North Huntingdon. Heartland Homes is collaborating with The Meritage Group on Providence Pointe in Marshall Township, Castleview Estates in Kennedy Township, Sonoma Ridge Estates in Moon Township, and Morning Grove Manor in Adams Township. We are also excited about Cobblestone Manor in Ohio Township. This will be the first time in the Pittsburgh area that Heartland Homes and Ryan Homes have built the same subdivision.
